Die Werkgruppe DE CULTURA beinhaltet eine langjährige Entwicklung von prozesshaften Abläufen auf der Ebene der Kunst. Auf einer Unterlage aus Baumwolle beginnen Weizenkörner zu keimen, eine Transformation setzt ein, die von mikrobiologischen Prozessen des Umfeldes ebenso gesteuert wird wie von einzelnen Eingriffen in sie, die im stetigen Hin und Her letztlich nicht mehr klar zu trennen sind. Der drohenden Auflösung des Materials kommt die Künstlerin zuvor. Die «Momentaufnahme» wird, einem «Film-Still» vergleichbar, zum bleibenden Bild, zum Energiefeld. CONTROLLING BY LETTING THINGS HAPPEN
The group of works DE CULTURA contains many years of development in process-based procedures on the level of art. Wheat grains begin to sprout on a substrate of cotton, a transformation begins, which is controlled not just by microbial processes in the environment, but also by individual interventions, which ultimately can no longer be clearly separated from each other in the constant to-and-fro. The artist preempts the impending dissolution of the material and prevents it from happening. The «snapshot» can be compared to a «film still», to that lasting image, that energy field.
